We are a friendly and diverse group of people with a common thread: We are all obsessed with games. Most of us have been playing games regularly all our lives, so we're pretty serious gamers who want something more than a nostalgic social diversion on a Wednesday night. But, we're not hyper-competitive and we like to have fun while we play! By serious we mean that most of us spend a large part of our free time playing games, thinking about games we've recently played, or planning the next games we're going to play. (Hey, some people play golf, shop for golf stuff, look at golf-related websites, and read golf magazines.)
Our weekly game night is regularly attended by about 15 gamers, with an average age of about 30 or so. We mostly play light-to-medium weight Euro board and card games, although we occasionally play heavier games, wargames and group party games. Between us, we own hundreds of games so there's a lot of variety. Apart from our weekly game night, we also have special events and sometimes get together on off nights to play.
