As an FYI, I received the following information on a couple of other game groups in the Pittsburgh area.

"The GASP game group's website is- http://www.gaspgamer....

They are a group that meets once a month, on the 2nd Saturday of the month. They usually have a BUNCH of people there, probably as many as 50+. They play from noon 'til midnight, everyone brings snacks and/or drinks, and they have a big communal kitchen where they put everything, and then they order pizza around 6pm or so, and if you want pizza, they take orders, and everyone chips in. A bunch of people bring a ton of games, they have a whole table full of games at the front of the room, and if you want to learn to play a game, just sit in on a game and someone will be happy to help you learn it.

Directions to the church they play at can be found here-

A Weekly Sunday group...
meet at Phantom of the Attic, in Oakland, on Sundays, from noon-5pm, in the upstairs area. Sometimes a couple of us are there around 11am. There are usually 5-10 people, today, we had 11. This group usually plays more of the Euro-style games, zombie survival games, dungeon crawler kind of games, or the occasional quick playing/card game. A few of the guys will typically bring a stack of games, and we have a
Yahoo group set up for ourselves that we occasionally use to send out requests for others to bring the following week. The shop sells snacks and soda, but some people will bring their own snacks or drinks. There are also a couple of food places nearby, and some people will sometimes stop and grab a sandwich before they get their, or take a break between games and run to get something to eat. "

If anyone would be interested in checking either of thess groupd out, you can feel free to contact our member "Chefguru" at chefguru1@yahoo.com if you have more questions.

For the time being, I'm not posting these events on our calendar, because Meetup would expect me or an assistant organizer (any volunteers??) to: attend the event, report on attendance (per RSVP's on the Meetup site), and then rate it. As some of you know, my elderly mother is visiting me for the next several weeks. When she returns to St Louis, I will definitely check these out!

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you next Saturday, June 21, at the Northland Public Library.
