Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle Pub, Pittsburgh's authentic Irish Pub, located in the historic Strip District, offers great food and drink -- now offers our chance to be beer bartenders...and your chance to be our boss for a couple of hours and help raise funds to pay for our Meetup site.

There are 12 draft offerings that should please the beer snobs, as well as those that just enjoy a cold glass of brew. Here's the link for the food menu http://www.harpandfid...

Stop by to heckle all of the guest bartenders and me about too much or not enough foam in your glass!!

We'll get to keep all of the tips on drinks purchased at the bar which will be used to pay towards the fees due to Meetup -- tips to table waitstaff are theirs -- so make sure you belly up to the bar and order the guest bartenders to sell you a beer!!

Tips earned in excess of our Meetup fees will be used towards shelter fees for the summer ALL Meetup Picnic. Details coming soon!!

This event is cross posted with the Pittsburgh Dining N'At Meetup as well as the Newly & Not So Newly Singles Meetup.

This is a 21+ event.

Gaming Association of Southwestern PA (GASP) hosts Game Days from noon until midnight on the second Saturday of each month. Bring your favorite game or just show up and join the action. Games Day is free and open to the public and new gamers are always welcome.

This is a "kid friendly" event. I've attended twice and I am impressed at how well behaved the kids (and their parents ;) are) . I've been there for only a few hours at a time. People arrive and depart throughout the day, but the tables are always full of players (about 40 in the room at a time). So when new people arrive -- that meas new snacks in the kitchen!

The game room is NOT air conditioned (shouldn't be a problem in Oct) bring snacks to share (and some to keep for you) througout your play stay and / or $5 cash to chip in on pizza at dinnertime. $5 will pay for 4 VERY generous slices of pizza.

The event location IS very easy to get to -- avoid the parkways and take Route 65 to make a left on the Sewickley bridge, turn left onto University Blvd, go approximately 0.8 miles to right on Thorn Run Road, go 1.8 miles to left on Snyder, 0.4 mile to left on Coraoplis Heights Road. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Montour Heights Country club golf course as you travel another 0.4 miles to the church.

UPDATE: OCT 25

Mr. Reilly says the rain will stop at 2:00 pm, the sun will come out, and it will be a beautiful evening. Our bonfire site is a grassy (not muddy) area.

I should arrive by 5:30 pm.

Tell the parking attendant you are with Alene Mossa's Group. They will direct you where to park and to the bonfire site. Pay me upon arrival.

Come on out. Bring those vittles for us to munch on at the bonfire and lets have a great time!!

$6.50 per adult and $3.50 per child. Pay me upon arrival.

Reilly's Summer Seat Farm and Garden Center is located in the Mount Nebo region of the North Hills in Ohio Township. Though this is a wonderful country locale, they are just 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

Have fun with us under the stars in the fresh cool fall air. Join us for a hayride, bonfire, smores n'at. Arrive earlier if you want to shop the Garden Center to get your pumpkin for Halloween.

We'll board the truck at 6:00 pm for a 45 minute rolling scenic ride of the farm at sunset. When we return, we can cook smores n'at at the bonfire.

Bring:
roasting sticks for your hot dogs and marshmallows.
a snack to share and mention it in your RSVP.
a flashlight! The bonfire location is dark and the ground is uneven

There is only one 8 ft picnic table, but we are welcome to bring our own blankets and chairs. Please mention in your RSVP what snack you are brining to share.

Reilly's does not allow alcohol on the farm, making this is a kid friendly event.

The minimum charge is $175 for a group. We need About 30 adults to break even on this fee (or any combination of $6.50 per adult and $3.50 per child). Not only will more be merrier, more will be a cheaper admission fee! (Pay me at the farm -- I don't know how to turn off that collect on line message on the calendar.)

This event is cross posted with the Newly and Not so newly singles group -- and so far about 30 people have signed up.
