Details
We play boardgames in groups of 4-6 people. Average attendance is 35 people, which is the limit of the chairs in the cellar at GooseIsland. 5-10 new people attend each month. Bring games if you like, 6+ people bring games. Usually there are no "party" games or games you can purchase at major stores. Expect to learn a new games each time you come. Sometimes it is hard to meet people that are involved in a game. There is no formal introduction process, nor organization. We meet, and people start playing, (don't expect anyone to hold your hand.) However, we welcome new people and enjoy teaching new games, so please sit down and play, you will have fun. Several of us play games at other times during the month, so there are other groups to join which are not as crowded. Your questions will be answered when you get to the event. Also, please purchase from GooseIsland, if we get our total bill up we can move to a bigger space. Sometimes it is separate checks, but mostly all together. So far we have not had issues will being short on the bill, nor is there an event charge, so please continue to be mindful. Playing games with people has been wonderful for me, and allowed me to meet lots of new people and develop close friendships.

"I was surprised that the RSVP was actually lower than the attendance, and most people that came had their expectations met. I think next month will be very solid. "
