About The Atlanta Boardgames Meetup Group

This is a chance for game lovers to get together for some fun and games. There will be a number of games available for play, as well as friendly folks who can help with the rules. We mostly play European games like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride. If you are not familiar with these games, they tend to run from 30 to 90 minutes and are different from most of the boardgames we all grew up with. Players are generally not eliminated from the game, so everybody is in it the whole time. They also usually involve the accumulation of victory points, so you generally are not having to take directly from other players to advance yourself. The games are also very sociable and a lot of fun. All ages welcome but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We generally meet the second Wednesday (6pm-10pm) and the last Saturday (5pm-11pm) of each month.
