Welcome to London On Board! Here you can find some information about who we are and what we are all about.


Who are we?

We're a mixed bag of game players. Some of us have been playing board games for aaaaaages, some of us have only just begun to discover the wealth of board games that is out there. Some of us prefer Euros, others are more interested in the American style, dripping with theme board games. Some of us like abstracts. Some of us just like everything. All of us like to play games and just having a good time. We come from all over London, and interestingly enough, we've been gathering players from all over Europe - and beyond!


What do we do?

We play board games (duh). Well, mostly board games. Sometimes they're card games. Or board games with cards. Or card games that use boards. Whatever the case may be, what we play depends on what people bring with them and what people like to play.


Where do we do it?

@ The Red herring, close to St Paul's cath. tube station. We're making use of a pub there, so we have drinks and some food available to us.


Why do we do it?

Because playing board games is fun, fun, fun! It's also a very nice way to meet some very interesting people.


When do we do it?

Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, mostly. There are evenings where we just play whatever people bring along. There are evenings which we dedicate to a specific game. And occasionally we throw in a Sunday afternoon/evening Meetup, for those games that take 8-9 hours to finish.


How do we do it?

Besides the common sense of proper behaviour, we have a few guidelines to keep everything running smoothly. Please take a moment to read them if you are considering joining this group.

To protect the privacy of the members I have made this a private group. This has been done to help prevent spammers & scammers getting easy access to e-mail addresses. I would have preferred to keep the site open, but this is the only protection I can think of at the moment.
