Ever striving to play new games and challenge people to learn games they have never heard of, while offering a friendly atmosphere to discuss game strategies and compare tactics. About this Meetup

We currently have over 300 members from Cary, Raleigh, Durham, Garner, and surrounding areas. I hope that this group will prove to be a good way for people to meet one another and make new friends, meet fellow gamers and that it will serve as a means of welcoming new Triangle residents.

Our emphasis is on Euro/German style strategy games. You can learn about this type of game here: http://boardgamegeek....
Examples of games that we often play: Puerto Rico, Ra, Goa, Vinci, Age of Empires III, Power Grid, Ticket to Ride, etc.

I welcome any suggestions that you have for the group. Although I have to pay a $19/mo fee as group leader, I will never ask any member to contribute any money. I don't want to be in the position of profiting at all from the group. Larry and I are just looking to have fun and meet new people, and provide a service to the community by organizing this group.

We are always happy to teach people new games. See you soon!

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RSVPing: Please see the message board posting about RSVPing for events. If you repeatedly abuse the Meetup RSVP system, especially by RSVPing for events at people's homes and then not showing up, you will be banned from the group, which is something that I must do as a service to the other group members.
