Has anyone played this before? I'm looking forward to see how it does 3d combat.

Any link? I'm reading the Honor Harrington books right now, so would be interested to check it out.

I tried a demo of the game about 2 years ago, because I have a strong interest in sci-fi ship battle games. But Saganami was just too dense and complex. There are a lot of rules, which not only include ship facing, but also relative height and the ship's pitch. Add on to that rules for ship management, it seemed like too much for a game.

Is it more or less complex than Star Fleet Battles?
And was it first or second edition? Edited by Jerome Chan on May 10, 2008 6:45 PM |

With regards to ship management, it is less complex. But I think that movement is more complex. It involes pitch and yaw of the ship, and it simulates full 3D movement.

Any link? I'm reading the Honor Harrington books right now, so would be interested to check it out. I've gotten the most recent HH book, "At All Costs", from the national library and it comes with a CD that supposedly contains all the HH books from the beginning up to the book before "At All Costs". I've not borrowed the CD so I can't confirm. This CD is also supposed to be included with the Saganami Island Tactical Simulator. Edited by Jerome Chan on May 10, 2008 7:49 PM |

I want to see if its possible to simulate the final battle of "At All Costs". I think that's over 700 ships and 30,000 plus missiles?
