We've grown large enough for our dues to cover our expenses every single month. Yay us! As such, for 2006, I'm going to start keeping a public accounting of our money.

In the long run, I'd like to build up a slush fund of $50. That way, if anyone's game is damaged, lost or stolen (Barnes and Noble is a big place with lots of people wandering in and out) the club can replace it on the spot. All our games are owned by individuals, and I want people to feel completely comfortable and secure when bringing games to share with us all.

The first half of last year Chaz and I paid for the fees out of pocket. In the second half of the year, the club started paying for itself. At the very end of the year, we had a total overage of just under $50. That money was used to buy the following games for the club:

Addendum:

We had a couple of people chip in $10 in late payments to make up for previous months. Therefore, even though March had about half the usual attendance, we brought in roughly the same amount of money as we did in February.
