Hey, I'm a co-worker of Chaz -- at least half the time -- and he told me about this group, which piqued my interest. So here I am, and here I've been!
I could rarely find opponents as a kid, but probably Monopoly. I like a game that doesn't end in an hour, and I had relatively little experience with board games.
Arimaa, which uses the pieces of Chess in a game designed explicitly to be difficult for computers to play. (My most frequent opponent is trying to program an AI that can play it.)
The Karma Cafe, on Bardstown Road. 24 hours, food far better than that of most sit-down restaurants, and I can get a good, large meal for $15! Oh, and wireless Internet.
Most assuredly.
Exclusively, until fairly recently.
"Dark secret: Before this group, I'd had very little experience with 'real' board games. Unless you count Monopoly. And I met my fiancee over a game of Sorry!. But that and Arimaa just about sum up my board game experience in the past ten years."
An excellent reason to get up before five PM on a Sunday.
