About The Louisville Boardgames Meetup Group
Once a month, we take over the Hurstbourne Barnes and Noble to play with ourselves in public.
Boardgames aren't just Monopoly and Scrabble anymore. There's a whole new world of modern games. Many of our members had never heard of our monthly staples before joining.
We regularly play Oasis, Give Me The Brain, Settlers of Catan, Hex Hex, Dread Pirate, Cartegena, Fluxx, Carcassonne, Munchkin, and many more.

Any month, our members bring whatever they're in the mood to play that day. If you'd like to play a game you don't own, stop by the Message Board and say so. People own these games because they like them. Let them know you like them too.
If you're easily offended by the occasional dirty word, please keep in mind our meetings are PG-13 and above.
For those of you who need to know what to tell the babysitter - our meetings start at 2 and end between 5 - 6. Eighteen to twenty of us go out to dinner after the meetings. We have a map of restaurants in the area, broken down by chains, Louisville Originals, and locally owned restaurants.
Membership dues are $2 per meeting - although like anything addictive, your first meeting is free. The dues pay for our Meetup.com fees, replacement costs for any lost or damaged games, supplies (name tags, pens, dice), and when we have an overage, the occasional purchase of a game for the club itself.
For those of you who want to contribute games to the club but don't know where to shop, we've compiled a wishlist at FunagainGames.com. Every game on the list can be played in an hour or less. Over half are award winners.
